Spring Trend Forecasting:

Rollover Trends:

Sneakers: Specifically Adidas... Sambas, gazelles, Spezials, Platforms... we are doing it all and loving all the colors and patterns.

This is specifically what we have our eye on...

Straight Leg Denim:

Red is still very big: apple red, cherry red, burgundy.

Sheer: Sheer dresses, tops, skirts with tulle, mesh, and chiffon fabrications are still very popular, maybe even more dramatic than in the previous seasons.

Denim: Denim dresses, accessories, shoes, lots of fashion jeans, vests, tops etc.

Spring '24 colors:

Blue: Icy blue will be a very popular color this year. Pair with black pieces for an edgier look, pair with tan for a softer look.

Gray: Paired with red & Kelly Green.

Lavender: A typical Spring pastel that is showing up all over the place.

Black: WOW if you know us, you know we love this. Spring blacks :)

Ballet flats: The trend continues! However we are seeing mesh, and metallic ballet flats show up everywhere!

Specific Pieces:

Trenches: The classic trench, artistic dramatic cape trenches, long trenches, cropped trenches.

Pencil Skirt: All skirts are popular, but we are seeing the rise in the pencil skirt. We aren't only styling it in a professional way though. Pair it with a t-shirt, or a sweater. The Pencil skirts are textured, bold colors, and even leather.

Oversized Bags: Big bags, tote bags etc. I wonder If we will see the 2000's trend of the dog in a bag, think Bruiser from Legally Blond. Makes me laugh.

Statement Belts: Guys... BELT IT,,, will be a thing again this year. Even big 2010 belts...

Trends:

Athletic Preppy: Think polos, stripes, track jackets

Leopard Print: leopard pants, leopard trench, leopard jacket, leopard bags

Boho: We think we're seeing return of boho chic, and we are pretty excited!

we were DYING over the Chloe Fall 24' Show!

FLORALS?!!!

Ok, but they are different.

Specifically we are doing roses. big 3D rosettes, big rose prints, and rose details.

We're cooking!

It's cold, try this alternative to boring chicken noodle...

Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks celery chopped finely
  • 2 medium carrots peeled & chopped finely
  • 1/2 medium onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1.5 pounds uncooked chicken breasts
  • 1 cup uncooked orzo
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or to taste
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Sauté the celery, carrots, and onions in a large soup pot with the butter and oil over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, then add the flour and cook for another minute or so.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and stir until the flour has dissolved, then add the Italian seasoning and chicken. Bring the soup to a boil.
  • Cover the soup (lid slightly open), and reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Stir in the orzo and cook for another 10 minutes or until the orzo is cooked through. I keep the lid off and stir it fairly often because it tends to stick to the bottom of the pot.
  • Take the chicken out of the pot and cut it up, then add it back in. Add the lemon juice (you may want to add more than I suggest – I didn't want to make the soup too lemony for some people), parsley, and season the soup with salt & pepper as needed. Serve immediately.
